    ISE Oracle Technology Center Event: Exalytics Live Event
    The first ISE Oracle Exalytics Live Event took place in Nuremberg at the noris Network data center on June 13th. The highlight of the event was the key-note of Marie-Anne Neimat from USA.

    Erwin and Herbert Rossgoderer, the two managing directors of ISE GmbH had the great opportunity to bring Marie-Anne Neimat (Vice president of Development for Oracles’ In-Memory database cache, TimesTen In-Memory database and the Berkeley Database) from USA to Nuremberg. She is one of the founders of TimesTen and now is responsible for the direction, development and release of these products. Marie-Anne Neimat came from USA to Nuremberg just to be able to present personally the TimesTen in-memory database. The formal presentation of TimesTen was completed by the live demonstration of a real time application from HSBC Trinkaus.

    Prior to Oracle, Marie-Anne was the founder and vice president of engineering at TimesTen Inc., which was acquired by Oracle in 2005. Before founding TimesTen, Marie-Anne managed the main-memory data management project at HP Labs. She was responsible for the project from its inception and led the effort to spin-off the technology into a private company. Marie-Anne has more than 25 years of software engineering and management experience. Prior to founding TimesTen Inc., she held positions at HP Labs, Dialogic Systems, and Britton Lee. Marie-Anne holds a bachelor’s degree in math from Stanford University, and a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley.

    After the lunch break Herbert Rossgoderer, managing director of ISE GmbH and one of globally few Exadata, Exalogic and Exalytic experts demonstrated the technical details of the Exastack-Machines. The hardware- and software characteristics of all three machines have been explained in detail and as well an overview about the combination and the interplay of the machines has been given. Main focus was of course the Exalytics-In-Memory Machine which is the first engineered system from hard- and software for in-memory decision processing, online analytical processing, forecasting and planning. After the technical presentation the attendees could convince themselves from the real performance of the Exalytics-In-Memory Machine by the life presentation of a flight data analysis in real time which contains more than 150.000.000 data.

    The Exalytic Live Event ended by the visit of the Exa-Machines and a conducted tour around the 5 star data center.

    ISE Oracle Technology Center in Use
    The ISE Oracle technology center presents within the video a WebLogical domain installation on an Exalogic X2-2 Quarter Rack Machine which contains 26 WebLogical servers in 3 clusters. The video was made in collaboration with Oracle Germany B.V.& Co.KG, BU Middleware . There are 7 nodes and on each node is one SOA suite 11g, one Oracle service bus 11g and one WebLogical server 11g configured.  There is an admin server to control the middleware and a BAM server to visualize the workload installed on each node.  There is as well configured a SOA, OSB and a WLS proxy to spread the load.

    This installation suits perfectly for high scaled SOA applications.

    The video shows the uncomplicated configuration of a SOA cluster on an Exalogic system in reproducible steps.  This example can help you to save a lot of time by installing your own SOA system.

    ISE presents „The Next IT Generation“
    ISE establishes its ISE Oracle technology center in the most modern data center of Europe in Nuremberg on Friday, March 2nd 2012.

    There are various solutions available: Exadata, the high available database machine;
     Exalogic, a complete integrated hard- and software platform for your business applications and Exalytics, the first In-Memory BI machine with the fastest performance for business intelligence and planning applications.

    The Oracle Exa-Stack systems are focused to manage efficiently a high data volume, to offer reliable hardware and well-engineered software and to provide support from one source.

    Therefore ISE places a further milestone within the IT world.  This Oracle technology center, unique in Europe, now is available for all Proof of Concept interested companies.

    ISE provides Immonet an Exadata based Data Warehouse from One Source
    Immonet is one of the leading real estate portals in Germany.  More than 2,6 million visitors of this website access every month the current offer of 1,14 million private and commercial objects.

    Immonet has completely trusted in ISE by building up its new business intelligence data warehouse (BI/DWH) solution.

    ISE has implemented the whole BI/DWH solution which is focused on performance and therefore is based on Exadata hardware. The complete data warehouse infrastructure had to be build up from scratch and appropriate backup/recovery concepts had to be implemented.

    Further ISE as Oracle Platinum partner has set up the databases and BI servers.  ISE implemented and enhanced successively the complete BI application which then was fine-tuned. Last but not least ISE arranged several Hands-On-workshops for users and administrators to introduce this new technology to them.  Thereby the application could be transferred to the customer successfully within the last project phase.

    ISE is Oracle Partner of the year!
    ISE has been honored for its engagement regarding Exadata in the context of the Oracle Partner Days on November 8th 2011 in Frankfurt.  
    By building up the first and unique Exadata test center in Germany ISE makes an outstanding contribution to the marketing of Exa-Stack products in Germany. Therefore ISE gets the partner award within the category „Exadata“. The moderator Markus Ottmer und Silvia Kaske (Senior Director Channel Sales & Alliances ORACLE Deutschland B.V. & Co. KG) handed over the award to Erwin Roßgoderer , managing director of ISE.
  • 08.11.2011:
    ISE wins Exadata project for Immonet together with Azlan against IBM.
    The Oracle title “PARTNER WIN OF THE MONTH” in July was gained by ISE and its distributor Azlan. The internet portal “Immonet”, a daughter of Axel Springer, will trust in a data warehouse solution from ISE based on Exadata.

    Rampf Formen GmbH focuses on failsafe communication for worldwide manufacture success and implements Oracle Beehive with support of ISE.

    "Oracle Beehive has passed successfully its practical test shortly after beginning of operation. The hardware breakdown was bypassed by a simple transfer to the backup system without any mail loss." – Thomas Staiger, project lead of Oracle Beehive implementation, Rampf Formen GmbH

    „Although Oracle Beehive is nearly not known in Europe, we have been very nosey what this collaboration solution can offer“,remembers Thomas Staiger. „The presentation of ISE was so convincing that we decided to take it into consideration besides Microsoft Exchange.“

    Evaluations confirm Beehive the best cost performance ratio.

    „Both employees of ISE which had been working for us have implemented the project efficiently and within the agreed time. We have been very satisfied. They are very cooperative and are available as contact persons for any further questions even without any maintenance contract“,  summarizes Thomas Staiger his experiences.
  • 16.07.2011:
    ISE Information Systems Engineering GmbH and  the “1.FC Nürnberg”  get the champion Ajax Amsterdam in the easyCredit stadium to Nuremberg.

    Combining our 20-year company anniversary and the season opening game of the 1.FC Nürnberg against Ajax Amsterdam was a success which even was valued within the daily press.

    ISE was present on all tickets and ISE promotion posters were posted in all Bavarian „Lotto” magazines.

    A premiere was at the beginning of the game the drop of a parachute in the easyCredit stadium to bring the match ball.

    With a following interview in the stadium we had the possibility to present the company ISE to more than 15000 visitors.
    Our following 20-year-party in the ISE event lounge with more than 200 guests and a life rock band was a big success. The last guests said good bye after 1:00 a.m.

    ISE is very pleased for all congratulations to the anniversary.

    Today the new ISE internet platform is online: www.ise-exadata-testcenter.de
    The new web pages report about all news regarding Oracle Exadata and give you the opportunity to test the newest oracle technology (hardware and software in one application) for your application range.  
    IN line with our engagement for the 1.FC Nürnberg we are advertising our newest consulting service which we provide within the ISE Exadata test center on the TV bands. Since Saturday, August 28th the domain of the new platform can be seen in the stadium.

    ISE expands its partnership to the „1.FC Nürnberg“
    Nuremberg, August 3rd 2012: ISE Information Systems Engineering GmbH (www.ise-informatik.de) stays in the future partner of the 1.FC Nürnberg and will expand its engagement. The interfered package from marketer SPORTIVE contains beside the marketing presence on the TV boards as well an own company loge for all home matches in the easyCredit stadium.

    ISE is now Oracle Platinum Partner
    With the certification by Oracle for the highest Oracle Partner status, a long-term partnership reaches the next level. Since 1992 already, ISE has been Oracle partner and has over a period of about 18 years sold Oracle products very successfully – partly in cooperation with Oracle itself. Since the foundation of the company in 1991, ISE has focussed unchanged on the “Oracle Product Stack”. 

    In the new Oracle partner program ISE has specialized in the following topics:

  • 02.02.2010:
    ISE takes over 15 employees in the course of the Quelle insolvency
    The end of Quelle. Not only for the employees of the old-established company the message after hoping and worrying for a long time was like a slap in the face. Also ISE is strucked by the insolvency of its long-term partner, particularly since the cooperation with the company was always on an almost friendly basis and characterized by mutual respect.  Despite the bitter circumstances everyone has to move on!
    ISE takes this motto to heart and is even more pleased to take over 15 employees of Quelle and the IT subsidiary Itellium, since the order situation is very stable. Therefore, the company is also very thankful for the increase on employees and appreciate the new, perfectly trained and qualified colleagues. After months of uncertainty, ISE can at least offer some former Quelle employees a future perspective and a safe job. Furthermore, the newcomers can develop themselves in the team in the direction of Consulting and expand their skills. Both sides profit from each other and look together optimistically in the future.
  • 03.01.2010:
    ISE opens subsidiary in Nuremberg
    ISE defies economic disturbances. Despite battered times and turbulences of the world-wide economy, ISE is still growing. The company, which already opened very successfully a subsidiary in Munich in 2005, was now confronted with a lack of space in the headquarter in Gräfenberg due to numerous fresh engagements of qualified employees. For the newcomers there is just not enough room. A quick solution for the growing number of employees had to be found and ISE discovered the Südwestpark in Nuremberg. The offices make room for about 20 employees. Since 1 January, 2010 a part of the Business Unit Management Services are here – The ISE Retail Team- and contributes to the smooth Service process within the company.
  • 01.12.2009:
    Oracle invited to Istanbul
    The metropolis at the Bosporus was not selected as holiday location on 2 and 3 December.  It rather serves as meeting place for the Oracle Event „DW Global Leaders Meeting“. The Who is Who in the industry came to the first meeting of this international conference series, for which reason ISE – also as sponsor – participated of course. Among the participants were decision-makers and responsible persons, who operate big Data Warehouses or are interested in the use of great Oracle Databases. During this great meeting, the Software manufacturer presented with his partners novelties, current projects and Best Practise around Oracle Datawarehouses. The next “Global Leaders Meeting” – series is presumably in Krakow (Poland) in June, 2010. ISE GmbH will of course be there.

      • ISE is sponsor of the Oracle DWH Terabyte Club EMEA Customer Meetings in Würzburg
      The DWH Terabyte Club EMEA Customer Meeting which took place in Würzburg in February was a full success. ISE and Oracle used the opportunity and presented the participants the worldwide first installation of the HP Oracle Exadata DB machine at QXL Allegro which was lead mainly by ISE. During a Live-Demo on the system of the leading Polish Internet auction house, the extreme productivity of the system could be proved through different SQLs.
